How to Draw a School Bus for Kids
- Determine the size and location of the future drawing.
Start drawing by defining the top and bottom borders of your drawing. To do this, draw an elongated rectangle using thin lines, which can then be easily removed.
- Draw the outline of the bus.
Now start shaping the bus into the correct shape. Using smooth lines, add the front and back of the bus. Draw two wheel arches with semicircular lines.
- Depict the windows.
Draw the visible part of the front window, add the window on the door which is in the shape of a rectangle, and then draw in succession the seven side windows which are in the shape of a square.
- Add the doors and signs on the body of the car.
In this step, you have to draw the door of the same shape as in the example. Also draw two signs on the body of the bus that look like regular hexagons.
- Draw the side mirror, door handle, detail the bottom of the body and windows.
Add structural elements and in this step draw the side mirror, the rectangle-shaped door handle, draw horizontal lines at the bottom of the bus and on each window.
- Depict the rest of the body elements.
Detail the front of the bus, draw the headlights, add some lines on the back of the bus. Draw a straight horizontal line across the top of the bus.
- Add the stripes and lettering to the body of the bus.
Sketch out even horizontal lines to depict three stripes. In each hexagon, write the word “STOP”.
- Draw the wheels.
Depict some even circles to represent the front and rear wheel. Make sure the wheels are exactly the same.
- Detail the wheels.
This will be a very simple step in which you will draw small circles in the center of the front and rear wheels.
- Color the drawing.
To color the body of the bus use bright yellow, you will also need red, black and different shades of gray.
