How to Draw a Pickup Truck for Kids
- Determine the size and location of the drawing.
At the initial stage of drawing, draw an elongated rectangle with which you will define the boundaries of your drawing. Use only thin lines that you can easily remove later.
- Mark the outer contour of the pickup.
Use the lines you drew in the first step as a guide and draw the top of the pickup truck. At the bottom, draw two wheel arches that are shaped like a trapezoid.
- Draw the side window.
At the top of the car, draw an irregular quadrilateral using a few straight lines. This way you can easily draw a side window.
- Add the outline of the door.
Use a few straight, even lines and mark the outline of the door, the same shape as shown in the figure in our instructions.
- Depict the door handle and the side mirror.
This will be a very simple step in which you will draw two small elements. Draw the door handle in the form of a small elongated rectangle, and draw the side mirror in the form of an oval.
- Draw the protruding parts on the car body.
In order to designate volumetric parts, you need to draw longitudinal lines on the car body. The top line is completely straight, while the bottom line is curved.
- Add small elements.
Continue adding structural elements on the body of the car and in this step draw a small rectangle on the body, also draw two small lines on the front of the car.
- Sketch out the wheels.
Draw even circles to indicate the outer and inner contours of the wheels, while making sure that the wheels are the same.
- Draw the rims.
Now you have to draw several absolutely identical elements. Along the inner outline of each wheel, draw small triangular-shaped elements, there should be six of them on each wheel.
- Color the drawing.
To color the body of the car, you can choose any bright color. We recommend using a light orange color. Color the side window blue, you will also need gray and red.
